Disdained is too mild a word. They were reviled, shunned, and spit upon! The VFW and other Veteran groups did not welcome them. So many came home with PTSD that was not recognized as well as health issues and addictions. My dad is in the fight of his life today on this date to honor Vietnam Vets. Please pray for Howard Greene. Semper Fi. My dad served two tours of Vietnam, earned three Purple Hearts, and one Bronze Star.
